The Senior Consultant leads or works as part of an engagement team of two to three people to identify and solve complex business problems by gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations. They normally deliver consulting and/or training services for two or more clients and may serve as the Engagement Manager on small (2 or fewer consultants) engagements.

Essential functions:

  • Engagement success through achievement of deliverables for client business outcomes
  • Client satisfaction through quantitative and qualitative measures such as direct feedback and NPS
  • Coaching individuals, teams and/or organizations
  • Defining and leading training workshops
  • Contributing to build and/or extend frameworks for consulting and training workshops
  • Facilitating engagement lift-offs and/or team lift-offs
  • Managing and reporting on engagement budgets
  • Ensuring accurate engagement invoicing by all parties when managing engagements
  • Ability to present to leaders when managing engagements
  • Objective, accurate weekly reporting

Minimum Experience

  • 5+ years professional experience or or equivalent military experience, or 3+ years experience in consulting
  • 2+ years experience guiding change
  • 2+ years experience training
  • 2+ years experience in a leadership role

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with frameworks such as Design Thinking, Business Model Generation, Value Proposition Design and/or Service Design
  • Experience in building products through Defining Products, Customer Discovery, Product/Market Fit, Product Marketing, and/or Product Management

  • Detail oriented including reports on client training/consulting for management

  • Knowledge and application of Agile practices (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban), team coaching and leadership
  • Strong consulting engagement management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, management, and C-level individuals
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Ability to approach colleagues and customers with empathy
  • Able to demonstrate a learning and growth mindset
