Charlene Newton, Executive Consultant
As an Applied Frameworks Executive Consultant, Charlene works with clients to optimize business outcomes and customer satisfaction. As a Certified SAFe Program Consultant Trainer (SPCT), she is passionate about delivering SAFe courses and workshops and is particularly interested in the integration of lean, agile, DevOps, and design thinking mindsets and principles to align enterprise strategy with solution delivery.
With over 20 years in management and technology, Charlene adds her unique blend of experience as a client to her consulting engagements. She has held several positions in various organizations throughout her career, including NCR, ABC/Capital Cities Communication, Scholastic, Inc., NC School of the Arts, Measured Progress and Amadeus. As a consultant, Charlene has led agile transformation efforts at two Fortune 100 telecommunication companies, a Fortune 250 insurance company and an emerging financial technology company.
Background & Credentials
Charlene earned an MBA with honors at the University of Virginia’s Darden School and a BA magna cum laude from Duke University. She also studied mathematics, marketing, and operations and taught calculus at the University of New Hampshire.
As an SPC and now SPCT, Charlene has trained over a thousand Agile practitioners globally.
