As a Consultant specializing in Business Agility, Bryan coaches clients to achieve business outcomes using Lean-Agile frameworks, with a particular focus on Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®). He has hands-on experience working directly with organizations in the government, telecommunications, and entertainment sectors.

Prior to joining Applied Frameworks, Bryan was an Enterprise Agile Coach at SAIC and AT&T. In his eight years at AT&T, he worked his way up from a technical role to become a leader in their Lean-Agile coaching team.
Bryan is a Certified SAFe Program Consultant Trainer (SPCT), as well as a Certified Release Train Engineer and Certified DevOps Practitioner.
In addition to his SAFe expertise, Bryan is a Certified ScrumMaster and a Certified Professional Agile Coach.

Carlton Nettleton is the Chief Product Owner at Applied Frameworks, a management consulting firm, and co-creator of Online Education at Applied Frameworks. Carlton has over eighteen years of industry experience working with clients to improve quality, increase productivity, build great teams and launch new products using Agile software development practices and techniques.
Today, Carlton’s focus is directed at mentoring and supporting Scrum and Agile practitioners who work in less than ideal conditions. He shares his energy and enthusiasm with our learners so they can achieve their personal and professional goals. Carlton is fluent in both English and Spanish, has written a short book on Scrum and has been Certified Scrum Trainer® since 2012.
Charlene Newton

As an Applied Frameworks Executive Consultant, Charlene works with clients to optimize business outcomes and customer satisfaction. As a Certified SAFe Program Consultant Trainer (SPCT), she is passionate about delivering SAFe courses and workshops and is particularly interested in the integration of lean, agile, DevOps, and design thinking mindsets and principles to align enterprise strategy with solution delivery.
With over 20 years in management and technology, Charlene adds her unique blend of experience as a client to her consulting engagements. She has held several positions in various organizations throughout her career, including NCR, ABC/Capital Cities Communication, Scholastic, Inc., NC School of the Arts, and Measured Progress and Amadeus. As a consultant, Charlene has led agile transformation efforts at two Fortune 100 telecommunication companies, a Fortune 250 insurance company, and an emerging financial technology company.
Background & Credentials
Charlene earned an MBA with honors at the University of Virginia’s Darden School and a BA magna cum laude from Duke University. She also studied mathematics, marketing, and operations and taught calculus at the University of New Hampshire.
As an SPC and now SPCT, Charlene has trained over a thousand Agile practitioners globally.

Jason Tanner is the CEO of Applied Frameworks, a management consulting firm, and co-creator of Online Education at Applied Frameworks. Jason’s professional experience spans product management and marketing, business planning, partner management, project management and leadership.
His passion is coaching people in organizations to develop products that customers love. Jason mentors, teaches, facilitates and sometimes does the work to identify and apply the optimal frameworks for given situations. Lately he’s been focused on very large scale Agile adoptions and overcoming all of the obstacles thousands of people encounter when their world of work shifts. Jason has been Certified Scrum Trainer® since 2013.
Jennifer Fawcett
Jennifer is an empathetic lean and agile leader, practitioner, coach, speaker, and consultant. Her passion and focus has been in delivering value in the workplace and by creating communities and culture through effective product management, product ownership, executive portfolio coaching and leadership. She has provided dedicated service in these areas to technology companies for over 35 years.

Jennifer was a contributor and developer of content and courseware for the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe), and is a SAFe Fellow and SPCT. Jennifer spent several years in product management and product ownership at Tendril (now Uplight) and Rational Software (now IBM-Rational). She has also spent a significant portion of her career as a consultant, providing senior-level lean and agile product management, product marketing, corporate visioning, architecture, process expertise, and hands-on development to many of the Global 2000. She lives in Boulder Colorado, where she works and plays near the majestic and inspiring Rocky Mountains.

As Principal Consultant, Joel plays a pivotal role in many of Applied Frameworks’ largest consulting engagements. He has over 20 years of experience coaching teams and managing products at blue chip software companies including AOL, EMC, Hitachi, Symantec, and VMware.
Prior to joining Applied Frameworks, Joel also worked as an Enterprise Agile coach at consulting firms SolutionsIQ and LeadingAgile.

Known to many of his clients as “The Gorilla Coach” for his willingness to take on tough issues no one wants to deal with, Joel regularly speaks at conferences and writes for industry magazines such as AgileConnections.
Joel is a Certified Scrum Trainer and one of a handful of Scrum Alliance Certified Team Coaches in North America. He also holds certifications as a Professional ScrumMaster, Professional Product Owner, and Product Management Professional.
